About Me

My photo
Geelong, Victoria, Australia
I'm a relatively new emerging local artist in the Geelong region after finally finding some spare time after children heading off to school and selling my business. I'm blessed with a gorgeous husband who has helped me set up a studio at home and supports my time consuming hobby! I love all things nature and dabble in many sorts of art, botanical art, printmaking and fine drawing. I look forward to a new year creating in 2011 and spreading my wings in the art world. I am selling my works at a local market and at a few local stores.

Moriac "makers and growers" market Jan 2012

Already we are in 2012, with plans to display my art in a great cafe called "Cafe Go" in central Geelong. I was a stallholder at a recent market in January in Moriac called Makers and growers market, it was a beautiful day, sold lots and now looking forward to doing the Picadilly market in Geelong, a very different type of market than ours (artefact market), with 80 stallholders!! Held at Deakin Waterfront so hoping for some nice weather. Also plans in the pipeline to do another run of teatowels with some new designs. Also about to take some of my art down to "the Red Pidgeon" a cute homewares shop in my local shopping precinct.

New Beginings

Dragonfly picture - hand drawn in pencil then photoshopped to print. 2010

A few years ago I had a new start in life and my old creative self came back. Then one day after selling my business I decided to see if I could expand my creative talent. So here I am today expanding even further by creating this blog. For all the world to see... I'm a Pharmacist by trade, a mum by love and now an artist by passion. I draw and paint by inspiration and time disappears when I enter my studio. Last year in 2010 I began selling my work to a couple of shops in Geelong. Ballyhoo Art Gallery, The Duck's Nest and Willow Homewares. I also did a stall at my local Artist's Market run by a dear  and talented friend Emma Bartle. So now onto 2011 where I hope to keep doing the Art markets and Ballyhoo and expand to some more Art Markets and even have an Exhibition or two with another dear friend Amanda. 2011 here I come!
